Privacy Policy

Last updated 10 October 2026

Who we are

WeAreRunnr, established in England, is the controller of the personal information described in this policy. We operate the Runnr early-access website and waitlist. Questions, requests, or complaints can be sent to ayushdiani@gmail.com.

What this policy covers

This policy covers the Runnr website and early-access waitlist. The Runnr app will have additional privacy information before it launches because its features may involve different information and uses.

Information we collect

  • Waitlist details: your email address, city, device type, and what you are looking for on Runnr.
  • Optional details: your Instagram handle and whether you choose to receive marketing.
  • Consent and terms records: your choices, when they were made, and the wording or version presented to you.
  • Technical and security data: information such as IP address, browser or device information, and request and error logs generated when the site is delivered and protected.

How and why we use information

  • Operating the waitlist: to record your interest, measure demand by city, plan availability, and send requested waitlist, launch, or early-access information. We rely on our legitimate interests in developing and operating Runnr and responding to your request to join.
  • Product planning: to understand device and feature interest and improve our launch plans. We rely on our legitimate interests in developing a relevant service, using aggregated information where practical.
  • Optional marketing: if you actively opt in, to send Runnr news, product updates, events, offers, and selected run-club or partner promotions. These messages may contain paid or affiliate content. We rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
  • Safety, security, and legal compliance: to prevent abuse, diagnose faults, protect the website, establish or defend legal claims, and meet legal obligations. We rely on legitimate interests and, where applicable, legal obligations.

You are not legally required to join the waitlist. Email, city, device type, and signup interest are required to provide the waitlist service; Instagram and marketing consent are optional.

Marketing and partners

Marketing is optional and does not affect your place on the waitlist. Promotional content may feature selected run clubs, events, or partners, but it will be sent by Runnr. We do not give a partner your email address so it can market to you directly unless we first ask for separate, specific consent. Every marketing email will provide a way to unsubscribe.

Who receives information

We do not sell personal information. We may share it only as needed with website, database, security, analytics, and email-delivery providers acting for us; professional advisers; regulators, courts, or law-enforcement bodies where required; and a buyer or successor if the Runnr business is reorganised or transferred. Providers may use information only for the services they supply to us and under appropriate contractual controls.

International transfers

Some service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where UK data-protection law requires safeguards, we use an applicable adequacy regulation or approved contractual safeguards, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or UK Addendum. Contact us if you would like more information about the safeguard relevant to your data.

How long we keep information

  • We review waitlist records at least annually and ordinarily delete or anonymise them within 24 months of the last meaningful interaction, a decision not to launch in the relevant city, or the waitlist no longer being needed.
  • Routine technical logs are ordinarily retained for no longer than 90 days, unless a longer period is needed to investigate security, fraud, or reliability incidents.
  • Marketing consent and suppression records may be kept while you are subscribed and for up to six years afterwards where needed to demonstrate consent, respect an opt-out, or deal with legal claims.

We may keep information longer where required by law or for an active legal dispute, and will delete or anonymise it when that reason ends.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights to access, correct, erase, restrict, or receive a copy of your information, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can withdraw marketing consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing. Email ayushdiani@gmail.com to exercise a right. We may ask for information needed to verify your identity.

You have the right to object at any time to direct marketing.

If you are unhappy with our response, you may complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint. Please contact us first if you are comfortable doing so, so we can try to resolve the issue.

Automated decisions

We do not use waitlist information to make decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects. Counts and launch-planning analysis may be automated, but they do not make such decisions about an individual.

Security and age

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Runnr and its waitlist are intended only for people aged 18 or over. If you believe a person under 18 has provided information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.

Changes

We may update this policy as Runnr develops or legal requirements change. We will publish the revised version here, update the date above, and provide additional notice where a change materially affects how we use personal information.
